The Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations – Ride on Roller is designed for operators who already hold a red trained operator card under CPCS or NPORS. This qualification enables you to upgrade to a blue competent operator card, formally recognising your ability to operate a ride-on roller safely and effectively.
You’ll be assessed in your real working environment, demonstrating your competence in compacting materials, operating on gradients, following site safety procedures, and carrying out machine checks and maintenance. The NVQ is flexible and tailored to your role, with no exams or classroom attendance.
Evidence is gathered through on-site observation, professional discussion, and documentation such as risk assessments, maintenance logs, and photographic/video proof of your work. This qualification supports ongoing development and compliance with industry standards.
