The Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations – Rear Tipping Dump Truck is designed for operators who hold a red trained operator card under CPCS or NPORS and are actively using rear tipping dump trucks on-site. Completing this qualification upgrades your card to a blue competent operator card, confirming your competence in the safe and effective use of the machine.
This NVQ covers key areas of dump truck operation, including conducting pre-use checks, transporting and tipping loads safely, working on inclines or rough terrain, and following site-specific procedures and health and safety legislation.
Assessment is entirely work-based and tailored to your real job role. You’ll be assessed through direct observation, professional discussion, and supporting evidence such as risk assessments, load sheets, maintenance logs, and photographs or video of your work.
