Who is it for?
This qualification is suitable for people whose existing duties provide opportunities to demonstrate the required inspection and testing activities.
What does the qualification cover?
- Planning work activities and identifying resources.
- Agreeing appropriate working methods.
- Developing effective working relationships.
- Inspecting plant or machinery to establish operational serviceability.
- Carrying out specific tests to determine operational serviceability.
How will I be assessed?
You will demonstrate your skills and knowledge through evidence from your work. Relevant evidence may include inspection records, test results, reports and answers to knowledge questions. Your assessor will agree an assessment plan and explain what you need to provide.
CSCS Gold Advanced Craft card
Successful completion supports an application for a CSCS Gold Advanced Craft card for the relevant occupation. You must also meet the applicable CSCS application and health, safety and environment test requirements. The card requires a separate application.
