Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance
This Level 3 NVQ is designed for experienced plant or machinery maintenance operatives who want to demonstrate their occupational competence and achieve a nationally recognised qualification.
The qualification is assessed through evidence from your normal working activities. Depending on the pathway and units selected, this may include maintaining, diagnosing faults in and repairing construction plant or machinery while following safe working practices and manufacturers’ requirements.
Who is this qualification for?
This NVQ is suitable for people currently working in construction plant or machinery maintenance who have the practical experience and workplace access needed to provide evidence of their competence.
How will you be assessed?
Your assessor will agree an assessment plan with you and support you throughout the qualification. Evidence may include:
- Workplace observations
- Professional discussions
- Work records, photographs and supporting documents
- Witness testimonies
- Recorded or written knowledge evidence
Your portfolio will be completed through Quals Direct, allowing you to upload evidence and communicate with your assessor online. Workplace visits or remote assessment activities will be arranged where appropriate.
Gold CSCS card
On successful completion of this qualification, you can apply for a Gold CSCS card. You will also need to meet the card scheme’s current application requirements, including holding the appropriate valid CITB Health, Safety and Environment test where required.
What happens after purchase?
