Description
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plant Operations – Cranes and Specialist Lifting (Tower Crane) is designed for operators currently working with tower cranes who hold a red trained operator card under CPCS or NPORS. This qualification allows you to upgrade to a blue competent operator card, formally recognising your skill and experience in operating tower cranes safely and effectively.
Assessment is based entirely on your real work activities and includes observation, professional discussion, and submission of relevant site documentation such as lift plans, pre-use checks, and safety briefings. You’ll demonstrate your competence in setting up, operating, and shutting down tower cranes in line with industry standards and health and safety regulations like LOLER and BS7121.
This NVQ is flexible to fit around your working hours, with remote and on-site assessment options available, ensuring minimal disruption while achieving your qualification.
