Description
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plant Operations – Dozer is for operators who already hold a red trained operator card under CPCS or NPORS and are working with tracked or wheeled dozers. Completing this qualification allows you to upgrade to a blue competent operator card, verifying your ability to operate a dozer safely and effectively in a live site environment.
Assessment is carried out in your normal working conditions and covers tasks such as grading, stripping, stockpiling, dozing materials, carrying out pre-use checks, and maintaining safe working practices. You’ll demonstrate your skills through a mix of observation, professional discussion, and submission of supporting evidence such as risk assessments, method statements, and photographs or videos of your work.
There are no exams or classroom sessions — your NVQ is built entirely around your day-to-day work. Once complete, you’ll meet the requirements for upgrading to a CPCS or NPORS blue competent operator card.
