Description
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Building Maintenance Multi-trade Repair and Refurbishment is aimed at operatives who work across different trades within construction, property maintenance, and refurbishment. This qualification is ideal for those wishing to demonstrate their all-round competence, gain a nationally recognised qualification, and progress their career in building maintenance.
Through this NVQ, you will demonstrate practical skills and knowledge in carrying out a variety of tasks, which may include plastering, tiling, painting and decorating, joinery, bricklaying, and general repair work. You’ll also show competence in preparing work areas, working to specifications, following health and safety requirements, and using the correct tools and materials for each trade.
Assessment is completed in your workplace, based entirely on real work activities. Evidence is gathered through direct observation, professional discussion, witness testimony, and portfolio submission. There are no classroom-based exams—your competence is proven through the skills you demonstrate on-site.
Successful completion of this qualification supports applications for the CSCS Skilled Worker (Blue) Card and provides formal recognition of your multi-trade abilities, enhancing employability and opportunities in building maintenance, repair, and refurbishment.
The maximum timescale for this qualification is 12 months, however it can be completed in as little as 4 weeks.
