Description
The Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Specialist Installation Occupations is aimed at operatives working in the construction industry who carry out specialist installation tasks. This qualification is ideal for those seeking to demonstrate their competence in specific occupational areas, achieve a nationally recognised qualification, and progress within their trade.
Through this NVQ, you will demonstrate your ability to prepare, install, and complete work to specification in your chosen area of specialist installation. This may include tasks such as installing prefabricated units, access flooring, protective systems, or other specialist construction products. You’ll also show your skills in interpreting drawings, applying health and safety practices, working to quality standards, and using tools and equipment effectively.
Assessment is completed in your workplace and based on your real work performance. Evidence is gathered through observation, professional discussion, witness testimony, and portfolio documentation. No written exams are required—your competence is demonstrated entirely through your practical skills and knowledge.
Successful completion of this qualification provides access to the CSCS Skilled Worker (Blue) Card, giving formal recognition of your abilities and supporting career progression within specialist construction occupations.
The maximum timescale for this qualification is 12 months, however it can be completed in as little as 4 weeks.
