Description
The Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Interior Systems is designed for operatives who are directly involved in the installation of partitioning, dry lining, and ceiling systems within construction environments. This qualification is ideal for those wishing to demonstrate their occupational competence, achieve a nationally recognised standard, and progress within the construction sector.
Through this NVQ, you will demonstrate your ability to prepare and install interior system components, including metal stud partitions, suspended ceilings, dry lining systems, and associated finishes. You’ll also showcase your competence in interpreting specifications, working safely on-site, using tools and equipment effectively, and delivering work to industry standards.
Assessment is carried out in your real work environment using professional discussion, workplace observation, witness testimony, and portfolio evidence. There are no written exams—competence is measured by your practical ability and knowledge demonstrated on-site.
Successful completion of this qualification supports applications for the CSCS Skilled Worker (Blue) Card, providing industry recognition of your skills and enhancing career opportunities in construction.
The maximum timescale for this qualification is 12 months, however this can be completed in as little as 4-6 weeks from induction.
