Description
The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Cladding Occupations is aimed at skilled and experienced operatives who install and maintain cladding systems on buildings and structures. This qualification is ideal for those wishing to demonstrate competence at an advanced level, achieve a nationally recognised qualification, and progress into more senior or supervisory roles within cladding and external finishes.
Through this NVQ, you will demonstrate your ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications, prepare work areas, install and repair a variety of cladding systems, and ensure work is completed to industry standards. You will also showcase your competence in working safely at height, supervising others where appropriate, using tools and equipment effectively, and applying quality control procedures.
Assessment is carried out in your workplace and based on your real work performance. Evidence is gathered through on-site observation, professional discussion, witness testimony, and portfolio submission. No written exams are required—competence is assessed entirely through the practical skills and knowledge you demonstrate in a live working environment.
Successful completion of this qualification supports applications for the CSCS Gold Skilled Worker Card, providing formal recognition of your advanced skills and opening pathways into supervisory positions and career progression within cladding occupations and the wider construction sector.
The maximum timescale for this qualification is 12 months, however it can be completed in as little as 4 weeks.
